Running the World
By Tamara Hamtom
Have you ever wondered how events do unfold in and around the world? Do you think
that things just happen, due to some haphazard or instant decision? Who is actually
pulling the strings?
This book is an attempt to challenge you, the reader, to digest the story line and check
how credible it is, in view of what does really go on behind the scenes.
If you believed that the people who are fronting the governments are the real decision
makers, you will have to think again, and delve deep into this novel which will help you
attain an insight into the major decisions taken, which could affect the entire human race.
The storyline deals with the most powerful committee in the world, and explains how it
works and who its members are. Those members who at face value, seem to be very
ordinary people, are looked at in the context of this book, to show that they conduct very
normal human life, and they experience the same experiences, ordinary people do. The
only difference between them and the average person is that they are in positions of
authoritative power to make gigantic decisions which have implications and
repercussions which are far reaching on you and I and our neighbour Mr Smith.
Intrigued, read on, go on this revealing adventure and be wiser for what is taking place in
your surroundings.
This is a political and social thriller, which will hold your attention until the end. You
will be intrigued, stunned and left bewildered when you grapple with the possible reality
of what is told.
All the people and names in this novel are fictitious.

Chapter 1 Zenith Supreme Committee
Hi, my name is Paul Malango, and I want to tell you a brief story about my life. This
story is in the back of the book, because, prior to my boring you with details of my
mundane life, at least the major part of it, I want to give you an idea about how I see the
world work.
So bear with me and enjoy the journey which I am going to take you on. At the end of
this expedition, you and I might learn something new and illuminating.
It is a dark room, lit with five candles only, four in each corner and one in the centre. A
heptagon shaped table made of marble and surrounded by seven leather chairs, occupy
the bulk of the space in that room. All the chairs are identical except for one of them
which has a Circle shape on its leather upholstery as opposed to standard leather
upholstery of the other six chairs. The one with the circle on signifies the chairperson of
the clique. Today’s agenda is pretty much the same as the previous agendum, with two or
three extra specific topics which vary from one month to the next. The opening ceremony
is always the same, which is made up of chants, followed by a five-minute meditation
session, followed by the swearing of allegiance to the cause and the group. A review of
last month’s meeting and then the new topics for this month. This is all ended with any
other topics to be discussed. The group is called the Supreme Zenith Committee, and the
chairperson’s name is Mr Bright. The Supreme Zenith Committee is the governing body
of the Zenith Movement. There are shapes, colours and symbols dotted all over the vast
room. Those symbols are not in place randomly or in vain, but they form part of the
symbolic progress within the organization, which are understood by the upper echelon.
The hierarchy of the movement and its organization is explained within this chapter.
Mr Bright started by briefing the committee about the financial status of Zenith, and
wished to express his thanks for the members who contributed with their efforts to bring
the movement’s funds to 60 trillion U.S Dollars, through their personal involvements. He
also touched on the subject of Zenith investment portfolios and confirmed that members
of Zenith around the world now, number over 800,000 persons, of different nationalities,
religion, gender, colour and creed, and social status. As each member of the Supreme
Zenith knows, those followers are kings, presidents, clergymen, prime ministers,
ministers, bankers, business men and women, sports personalities, military personnel,
lawyers and judges, ambassadors, and rebel group leaders all over the world.
Mr Bright asked each member of the committee to brief the meet on their latest
endeavours in recruiting new members. One new king, a new president and a new rebel
leader were getting their induction in the final stages of approval. Once this decision to
recruit them is made, then the next steps of approach and enrolment are effected.
The new topic for this month is the overthrow of the communist government in a tiny
Asian country called Aidobmac. This government pauses a real threat to Zenith and
Zenith’s interests in that specific region of Asia. The chairperson declared that,
unanimously, the Supreme Zenith has agreed to move this topic from the feasibility phase
to the implementation phase, as the risks are becoming higher. Aidobmac has been under
scrutiny for the past five years, and despite the fact that some precautionary steps were
taken in the interim, things have not been progressing in favour of Zenith. Aidobmac has
been developing a nuclear capability which was becoming a bigger and larger threat by
the day, and despite the fact that the people in the country are living in abject poverty,
their communist government would not heed International advice and pressure to halt
their nuclear work and concentrate on peaceful issues and human rights. Like other places
around the globe, Zenith has its own staff, living in Aidobmac and working in normal
jobs, and the majority of them are indigenous natives. These local groups are called
Apex-Zenith. The local staff get their Zenith salary paid into their overseas foreign bank
accounts, and they perform the tasks assigned to them in return, for both the cause and
the financial rewards. Aside from their renumeration, they have at their disposal large
sums of money in local bank accounts which they can use in order to achieve certain
objectives. This money could be used for bribery, purchase, loan and investments.
Similar to the Supreme Zenith structure, the local Apex-Zenith structure has a
chairperson and six committee members, which act inside the specific country.
Mr Bright briefed the other six members on the up to date picture in Aidobmac, and read
for them a coded message which he received at HQ from the local Apex-Zenith
chairperson. Each committee member gave their opinion and recommendation as to the
next steps to be taken, and it was agreed that Apex-Zenith will back up the opposition
Democratic party in Aidobmac with enormous funds and publicity campaign inside the
country, to help them get into power, and also to create disturbances for the existing
communist party, by funding splinter groups with money, arms and technology. A
detailed action plan to be prepared by the Apex-Zenith Group in Aidobmac and
submitted to the parent Supreme Zenith committee for approval within one month.
Let me introduce you to the six members of the committee. They are Mr Saeed Mazen,
Mrs Jones, Miss Chang, Mr Owen, Mr Gonzales, and Mr Green.
Mr Mazen is an executive director of a large International Bank. He is married and has
two children. He is 54 years old. He is a devout family man and he practices a heavenly
religion. As a matter of fact, all members practice their own heavenly religions which are
different one from the other, but I will not specify these religions to you. Suffice to say
that they are diverse, and they encompass all known heavenly religions. Mrs Jones is the
director of the International Society for Human Rights, is married, but does not have any
children. She is 45 years old. Miss Chang is the owner of the largest private computer
chip manufacturing company, in the world. She inherited the company from her late
father, she is single and she is 38 years old. Mr Owen is the director of the FFA, Fission
and Fusion Agency, is married with three children and is 61 years old. Mr Gonzales is a
retired ex deputy prime minister in his country of Eporue. He is married and has five
children, and is 72 years old. Mr Green is the spiritual leader of a sect known as the
Enlightened, and has follower’s world wide of 20 million people. He is single and he is
65 years old.
I must not forget Mr Bright, who is the president of the IBA, International Banking
Association, is married with one child and is 66 years old.
I will give you some insight into the lives of the members of the Supreme Zenith
Committee, and you will have the chance to learn more about their lives, both
professional and private.
The Supreme Zenith committee of the seven members, is made up of people who have
belonged to Zenith and went through the rigours of climbing up the ladder and achieving
the levels stated and stipulated in Zenith’s charter. To give you an idea, basically, there
are seven colour levels which the member must progress through before he or she
becomes eligible to be elected onto the committee.
Those colours are in ascending order, white, black, green, yellow, brown, red and blue.
Of course that means white is the lowest level for new members and blue is the highest
level for senior members. The Supreme Zenith committee members come from the blue
colour level, but the Supreme Zenith itself has no colour level. It is the final level after
blue.
Each member on the Supreme Zenith will serve for a period of seven years, or until he or
she dies, whichever comes first. On such occasions, the remaining active members of the
committee will put forward their individual nominations from the highest tier pool of
candidates, available from the blue colour level. The chairperson of the Supreme Zenith
is appointed by voting of each member in a written ballot. If there is no resolution by
ballot, the eldest member by age will become chairperson.
Bright who has been a long serving Zenith member and is a stalwart for the movement
has been unanimously elected as a chairperson.
From history and records, it is highly unlikely that a member will go through the seven
levels in less than seven years. For the most devoted and dedicated members, it will take
seven years to move from white to blue.
Once a member is within a level, he or she will know who is the commanding committee
for that colour level only, and will also know all the members of his or her colour level
and all the members of the colour levels below his or hers, plus their commanding
committees i.e. a member can only look down but will never know who is on the next
level above. He or She might get to know a member at a higher colour level either by
chance or through intimate friendship. The commanding committee for a certain colour
level is appointed by the commanding committee of the colour level immediately above
it.
A commanding committee at a certain colour level will know the commanding committee
of the level above them and all its members.
Let me give you an example, an ordinary member in the yellow colour level will know all
the members in the yellow colour level and the commanding committee of the yellow
colour level. He / She will also know all the members and commanding committees of
the white, black and green colour levels. He / She will not know any members or
commanding committees in the brown, red and blue colour levels at all.
The commanding committee of the yellow colour level will know all that is available for
the ordinary member plus the members and commanding committee of the brown colour
level. If you feel confused, please read the aforementioned again and it will become
clearer. The commanding committees of the seven colour levels have an annual meeting
which lasts for a week.
